GED STUDY AT HOME PROGRAM FOR KENTUCKY ADULTS
GED Connection is an enrollment program provided by KET for Kentucky adults who have not had the opportunity to finish high school. Several enrollment sessions are offered each year. You can study at home, at your own pace, for the GED Tests. You'll watch the GED preparation television series produced by KET (also called GED Connection) and use companion workbooks. With enrollment, you'll get:

- A pretest to determine what you need to study most
- Three workbooks all GED subjects, provide practice lessons, and help you follow the GED instructional broadcasts on KET
- A newsletter giving important GED test information
- The GED practice tests at the end of your studies to determine when you are ready for the GED Tests
- A Test-fee Voucher which pays the GED testing fee (worth $50)
- A toll-free number to call for tutoring questions and concerns

Provides educational opportunities to Kentucky adults (16 years of age or older) who wish to obtain a GED diploma. Pre-GED testing is free. - Literacy Tutoring
Provides training in individual basic reading and writing for anyone wishing to improve his or her skills. - Computer Skills
Any person who is currently active and enrolled in one of SCC Adult Education Programs has access to free Internet, E-mail, Windows, Microsoft Office, Keyboarding and resume writing classes. - Kentucky Para-Educator
State law requires employees with less than two years of college credit working with children in a school system to take the Kentucky Para-educator test. Tests are given daily at the Casey County Adult Learning Center and by appointment at the McCreary County Adult Learning Center. - Workplace Essential Skills Program
Free WorkKeys assessment provides skills training designed to meet the needs of employers and individuals seeking new or improved employment. A Kentucky Employability Certificate signed by the Governor of Kentucky can be earned by taking the WorkKeys exam. - English As A Second Language
Provides non-English speaking residents with instruction in English conversation, grammar and writing skills. - Career Coaching
Our career coaching can help you prepare your resume, practice interview techniques, fill out job applications, and refine your job search. We have interest and aptitude tests available to help you discover the career opportunities for which you may be most suited. - College Preparation
Are you thinking about enrolling in a college or technical college? If you want to brush up on your math or English skills, use some of our ACT/SAT preparation materials, or improve your score on the COMPASS test, we can help. We will also assist you with your financial aid forms and college or technical school applications.
